The Missing

coming Sept 5!

Chapter 1 here!

Here is a sneak peek of my new novel The Missing. The whole thing will be posted on Sept. 5.

I’m Janet Morgan and I turned 15 today. Everyone calls me miss perfect because I supposedly have no flaws. But I do. My flaw was that I was too trusting. I always trusted what ever I heard. That’s what got me into this mess. I was walking down the street just coming from the huge mall at the corner of a very busy street. Then again, in New York, it’s always busy. I bought a new blue strapless dress with glitter on it to match my dark blue heels for my birthday party today. Fabulous! Now I need to get to my house and get changed. I walked down the street, only three streets away from my house. Teenagers everywhere were saying happy birthday to me and getting ready for my party. I thought it would be an awesome day. I thought wrong. While I was walking, I swore a silver mustang was following me. I turned around and saw a guy with long black hair, fair skin, a sly smile, and sinister gray eyes in the car. It was James. My ex. " Hi James." I said, pretending to be happy. I hated him now since he cheated on me with my sister Sara. He studied me and snapped his fingers. " Hey Jannet. I really hate to do this but…." He trailed off. “Wha…..” I choked out before a big man threw a sheet over my head and tied it, leaving me unable to see. I heard people who saw it yell in alarm. I tried to scream but I couldn’t. Someone picked me up and threw me in the back of the car. I heard laughter. " Enjoy the ride little princess. When you get to our destination, we will introduce you to all of the other missing." James said. James always called me his little princess. he said I was just too perfect. I didn’t take it as a complement this time. I took it as a death sentence. That was the day I was declared missing….
